Heading For a Fire

13 September, 2008

I am being mobilized to the Lonesome Complex just outside of Medford, OR, and will be gone for about two weeks (give or take).  I am very happy about this, as it means I will NOT be mobilized to Texas.  No email will be answered (which is ironic, considering I created the account yesterday!) nor will I respond to any comments.

I leave you with this quote:

“Lord save us all . . . a hope tree that has lost the faculty of putting out blossoms.”

Without googling the text, who wrote it?

Talk you ya’ll in about two weeks.

  1. Stay safe. Hope you get a chance to enjoy the scenery. My kid tells me she was blown away by how gorgeous the Cascades are when she was detailed out there at the end of August.

  2. Won’t be too close to the Cascades. I’ll be about halfway between Crater Lake National Park and Medford, OR. A few years back, I was up at the B&B Complex up by Mount Jeff and the Sisters. Wow.

  3. I have been to Medford (through it mostly) it is a nice area.

    Be safe.

So as not to give it away for others, I will tell you the initials of the quote writer are MT, or SC if you want to get technical.

    😀

  4. Poodles: Correct! I fly out at 0610. What’s the ‘0’ stand for? ‘0’ shit, it’s early!

    I will.
